1. Using Dawg

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dawg. You agree to use the app for the lawful, intended purpose of training and caring for your dog. Don't try to break the app, scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or misuse the AI coach for content unrelated to dogs.

2. AI-generated content

Coach Calvin and Coach Danielle are AI personas powered by large language models. Their responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Dawg is not a substitute for a licensed veterinarian, certified dog trainer, or board-certified behaviorist.

If your dog is showing signs of pain, has bitten anyone, or has any condition that needs medical attention, please consult a vet or qualified professional in person. Dawg's safety gates will flag these situations and recommend an in-person referral, but the final call is yours.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your email and password safe. If you sign in with Google, you're responsible for that account too. Tell us right away at support@dawg.city if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Subscriptions (future)

Today Dawg is in a free preview. When paid subscriptions launch, they will be sold and billed through Google Play. Cancellation, refund, and renewal terms will follow Google Play's standard policies; you'll be able to manage your subscription from your Play Store account at any time. We'll show clear pricing and renewal details in-app before you subscribe.

5. Your data

You own everything you put into Dawg -- your dog's profile, journal entries, chat history, photos. We process this data to deliver the service per the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.

6. Our content

The Dawg name, the Coach Calvin and Coach Danielle personas, the curriculum content, illustrations, and the underlying code are all owned by Dawg or licensed to us. You may not copy, redistribute, or build derivative products from them without written permission.

7. DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe content on Dawg infringes your copyright, email legal@dawg.city with the URL or screenshot, a description of the work, your contact info, and a good-faith statement that you have the right to act on behalf of the rights holder.

8. No warranties

Dawg is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it up and running, accurate, and safe, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly tailored to every dog. You use Dawg at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dawg and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. If you've paid for a subscription, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid in the previous 12 months.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Dawg is incorporated (the United States, Delaware, unless we tell you otherwise in-app). Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Dawg after the update means you accept the new terms.
